When a Pope Dies

April 2, 2005 would be remembered in history as the day when more than one billion perople across the globe simultaneously mourns the death of Pope John Paul II. As the longest serving head of the Roman Catholic church, Karol Wojtyla had made history ever since his election to the papacy as the first non-Italian to occupy the throne in more than 450 years.
After endless eulogies, it would be very interesting to observe how the highly political church would choose his successor. For the non-Catholics, we might interest ourselves by asking "What happens when a pope dies?"

For travel junkies out there, get a grip because you won't believe this. Where will your $6 take you? Tiger Airline (TA) says, "in Singapore!" TA is the newest airline to fly from Clark to Singapore three times a week offering cheap seat prices that would give major carriers like PAL and Singapore Air a run for their money. Their promo ran from March 29, 2005 until April 1. Hopefully, the presence of more air carriers would open up the world for middle class Filipinos who would want to travel but hindered by steep airline fares. But of course, before we go out and see the world, let's visit the 7, 100 islands first and discover the beauty Philippines has to offer.
