After a while you learn the subtle difference
between holding a hand and chaining a soul
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't mean security.

And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises
And you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child
And you learn to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.

After a while you learn that even sunshine burns
if you get too much.

So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure
that you really are strong
and that you really do have worth
And you learn and you learn
with every goodbye you learn...

Whoever said that I'm bad at multitasking should be shot in the head. I'm replying to a member from Peru while learning sentence construction using past and present participles in Spanish while listening to Mogwai and blogging! Kick a//!

Decided to work from home today. As usual the weather is gloomy that's why I backed out on the supposed walk along the coast of Craster. Such a pity cos I haven't been there and it'd be nice to be somewhere else away from my room. And my Reebok exercise bike. S and I decided we'd spend the day tomorrow eating crisps, wine and curry.

Although June is still months away, colleagues persuaded me to watch Romeo and Juliet at Theatre Royal and Zakir Hussain and coughed up quid for these "cultural pursuits" I reckon that's more worthwhile than doing CSI Miami marathon.

Oh and one more thing, I've signed up for the Drop the Debt fast and been avoiding telly and alcohol (or did I say carbonated drinks), well whatever, I can live without Coke/vodka so that's easy. But I think I'm cheating on the no telly bit since I'm watching shows over the net? There's always some fine print somewhere you know.

Estamos riendo sobre la traducción de la Avenue Q's "For Now," pero solo por ahora, pero solo por ahora, por ahora tenemos pelo, por ahora tenemos George Bush.. may be entirely wrong

Eso es todo por ahora. Soy excitado para decir a mi familia estoy aprendiendo español. Hasta luego!

I'm not supposed to be doing this. Blogging. I'm supposed to do my spinning for at least half an hour or a quarter, read my OU books, or practice for my ECDL. The only thing I was able to do since I got home was had dinner, which consists of leftover tagliatelle from yesterday and my housemate's baked spinach in filo pastry also from yesterday. And of course a couple or more of gaufrettes (wafer to laypeople).
I got so much distracted and pissed off by the ECDL (European Computing Driving Licence) cd which won't run using Desktop Anywhere. Okay I'm talking French but I'm too lazy to explain all these things which I bother myself with. Though I manage to send a silly email to the IT people, I think I average 2 or 3 a month. Make them work their a\\es.
I have to say I'm improving on my Spanish. I'm now able to communicate with our Spanish-speaking members (who are probably LatAm!) and they seem to be happy that they don't have to rely on faulty Spanish to English translation websites because now someone can talk to them in their language (sorta). Now I can decipher when babelfish is playing stupid. It actually translated Tumbes (a place in Peru) as 'you stumble down' wtf?
Eso es todo. Have to work on the thousand-pound course :)

Beautiful film, inspiring music. Not to miss.
Something to watch when you're alone on a Saturday night and the following days and nights to come.

Have you pranked someone today? Keen in sending out a mass email to network members saying that the world has been made a better place by having men as rulers but that's gonna be suicide I guess. Or admitting this early that Mugabe won again as President of Zimbabwe? Though this is just foul and unthinkable.

Have you seen Google's? I thought there won't be any as the Google search page has been the same old white when I checked it this morning. But lo and behold, they came up with this: http://www.google.com/virgle/index.html

Want to be a Virgle Pioneer and join the colony in Mars? Do sign up!

Quick blog as always. Title is totally unrelated with the post, just want to post the link to my travel photos in webshot. Some shots of Hexham and Bath trip, more soon.

Spring is coming but it's still cold. It's brighter and you can see lots of sun during the day but don't get fooled, it's 3C outside today :(

Ciao!
