I've read the spoiler in one of the Korean website and despite the broken English, I understand why this is one of the most loved Korean series in Asia. The whole series has 20 episodes which ran for 60 minutes each.

Paolo found out that Ryan eloped with Erica and tracked them down to Bali.
The next scene showed Ryan lying in bed with Erica. He told Erica that she is free to go anywhere as he can see the sadness in her eyes. Erica cried and told Ryan that she wanted to love him, but she can’t because she loves Paolo. Then Paolo walked into their room, with a gun. He shot Ryan and Erica. Ryan died immediately while Erica struggles for life, she told Paolo that she loves him. Paolo was shocked with what he had done; he walked to the beach and committed suicide with the same gun.

We incidentally watched The Interpreter at Gateway. Incidentally because the ticket girl misheard it as we argue if we're gonna watch The Pacifier or The Wedding Date. And gave us tickets to Nicole Kidman's film. I was hesitant at first because I've read from imdb it's under the category drama/thriller and I don't watch those kinds of movies. It turned out to be a really good film about an interpreter at the United Nations who started to fear for her life after she heard a voice in the head phone describing a would-be assassination of the Matobo President. She gets protection from a CIA agent (Sean Penn) who's dealing with the loss of her wife.
Nicole and Sean are very good actors and gave outstanding performances. Story-wise, the movie gives a strong message about corruption and genocide in Africa which the award-winning director Sydney Pollack (The Firm) had the sense to tone down so as not to sound too preachy and overtly political. Nicole has a different accent here and she speaks fluently in Ku, a South African dialect, invented solely for use in the film. Though a lot of people are debating whether Nic's accent is good or bad, saying she's relapsing in her native tongue which is Australian (her nationality is also another point of debate).

Movie trivia: The film was entirely shot in the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and Pollack had to talk to Kofi Annan to ask for permission to shoot at the General Assembly and at the Security Council chambers. (www.imdb.com)

I was expecting that Sean would fall in love with Nicole. However, due to the fact that they are both professionals, they did not let this become the focus of the story.
Yep, I noticed that the Philippines plate was focused for quite some time, although the individual did not look like a Filipino.
(For a while I thought I was commenting at the wrong post that I went to the main page again. Ü)
